The windy city

This past weekend, I had the lovely opportunity to travel to chicago, to celebrate a friend of mine's (Amanda) 30th birthday.  It was a great time, with so much love spread around.  There were 6 of us there, with not one being from the windy city.  the weather was terrible (just over freezing, and sleety/rainy), but i think the love over powered that.  in total, i was in the city for about 48 hours, approx 8 of which were sleeping, and rest seeing amazing people.

some of the highlights. the musical Wicked. getting a "free round trip ticket in the 48-continuous states."  Watching a documentary that my friend jon was in.  staying up until 4am. eating breakfast at panera.  the photography exibit at the art museum.  reuniting with segue girls. deep dish pizza.  laughing and conversations.

thank you Paul Kist for taking the photos.  the following are beautiful, and amazing people.

Panera Bread from breakfast!
can i say cinnamon crunch bagel with hazelnut cream cheese? yum!

The wonderful birthday girl, Amanda:
laughter is the best medicine.  The amazing Christina Lansley, and Jon Holm. Myself

The  Chicago Art Museum:

the ancient romans.

I also had the chance to invite Sharon and Emily (From my segue trip) out for an hour or two.  every once and a while, you have the opportunity to see how people have grown.  these two girls emplify "everything that is lovely"

and finally.  Beer.
